Vattar gets best regional film award at RIFF

Vattar gets award for best film in Regional Films Category at Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) Jaipur (18-20 January 2015). Vattar a short punjabi film by Darshan Darvesh, featuring Charanjit Sandhu, Preet Dhaliwal, Sompal Heera, Karamjit Brar, Gurjant Janta, Gurmeet Brar, Pardeep Kaur, Tarshpal, Rang Harjinder, Jagtar, Aulakh, Wakeela Mann, Atay Singh, Billo, Jasmeen.

On getting this award Darshan Darvesh said, “It all is result of blessings of Manmohan Singh ji (Mann Ji) eminent director which will inspire us to tread a long way ahead. Thanks to RIFF for weaving and bringing a mosaic of cinema to fore.”

Vattar The wetness of woman is based on Punjabi short story Vattar written by renowned Punjabi short story writer Sant Singh Sekhon. This story is based on the real events happened in the Bar region of Punjab 1965. Film is dubbed in English also.

Short Punjabi film Vattar is produced by Charanjit Singh Sandhu, music is composed by Harinder Sohal and songs are sung by Kamal and Harleen.

Earlier a film titled Blood Street directed by Darshan Darvesh was denied censor certificate by Central Board of Film Certification of India.
